Gonna build a dog box soon was wanting to see some yall got that are homemade. Also whats the hight and if you did anything else special too it?

build your boxes to YOUR dogs, not someone else. if you have big dogs, you need bigger boxes. when i built mine, i built it for my dogs, and ea box holds 2 dogs, but i could have built it 6" taller, but i wanted to try and load my wheeler atop of the box, which didn't work out anyway and now its to late to rebuild the the box. do it right the first time so you don't have to redo it later.
how many dogs do you plan on hauling at the same time? do they do well with each other in tight quarters? how many catch dogs do you plan on taking and do they do well with other dogs in tight quarters?

 Heres mine i dont remember the measurement i just measured my dogs. Gota bout 150 bucks in it. 6 compartments will haul 10-14 dogs. |

Just drew plans for one today. Gonna have 6(3wide 2high) holes 2x2x2.5
6x2.5 deck on top with 4 inch high railing and a 1x2x1 storage boxes on each side flush with top of the bed of truck. Measured to fit a '15 f-150. I'd post a pics but it's a very rough sketch for right now. Using 1x1x1/8 angle and 20ga. Smooth expanded metal along with some diamond plate. Gonna cost us about $450 to build

 made some minor adjustments to original plan. Had to do this 3D model to perfect scale for welding class. Lots of 1x1x.125 angle and expanded metal and some diamond plate steel. Me and buddy are building it, were considering rhino lining the whole thing rather than painting. (Top center box isn't enclosed because per law you have to be able to see out at least some of rear windshield) |

Thank ya sir. It was kind of a i gota get somethin bettern i got deal. Used to b a slide in coondog box with top storage and finder well cut outs. I cut it down to the back side and middle support and built it up like it is now.
