Hate to hear that mike, had he been sick? I was wondering why you didn't have him the other night.

Yeah Jason, he hasn't been himself on the last few hunts I had him on. The last few days is when he started getting worse.

Sorry to hear that Mike.  I remember back when he was just a wee little guy.  Was he one that needed to get nutted a few years back?  If so did it have anything to do with it?

Naw Kevin, I had to get him cut after he got swine brucellosis. All that cleared up after a couple of months of antiboitics. That's been 3 or 4 years ago... doesn't seem like it's been that long.

Sorry to hear about that, Mike.  I'm sure you have some great memories in the woods because of him.

You can't help but get attached to those good dogs that have been around for a while.

Mike,

I don't have the words to express my feelings about Blue, other than to say he is one that will be missed, and remembered for a lifetime. Like others have stated, he wasn't even my dog, but he was special to me.

I think I'm still in disbelief. Blue wasn't our dog, but we loved him like he was "ours". You couldn't help but love and respect him, and I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to spend the time I had with him in the woods. I think he has taught us all a lesson that goes far beyond just hunting hogs. Blue taught us about teamwork. He will be missed.

Damn Mike that realy sucks. I am so sorry you lost him. I hope you find comfort in knowing
how respected Blue dog is through the Hog Dog community. He will live on in the memories of hunts that
many folks were fortunate enough catch hogs behind that spotted dog of yours.

Thanks y'all. I guess I didn't realize that everyone thought so highly of him.

I don't know what else to say but thank you for all the kind words.

Dang Mike, I'm really sorry to hear about Blue.  I was fortunate enough to have gotten to see him work and he was definately a master of his craft.  He will be missed.

RIP Blue
