I am reading a book about the present situation with the APBT and saw a good quote in it. "Breeding better dogs is like pushing a car up a hill, if you quit pushing it rolls back down hill." I thought that was pretty accurate, if you're not moving forward you are moving backward.

The second statement you made of "if you're not moving forward, you're moving backwards" is one I always hear in my industry (IT). I think that applies to the progression and evolution of most things in life.
