Last Saturday night I found my LB girl hung her collar in her pen.  She was a good dang dog, she'd wind and track, wasn't scared of any hog, and ridiculously fast.  Had grit and smarts ( and I think looks to boot, but I could be a little prejudice on that...) and you would never see her walk, she was always running.  I never expected to lose a dog this way, it was really hard on me.  I cried and cried.  I keep thinking about her, silly little things like how she would wag her tail so hard it would hit her sides with loud thump thump thumps and how she would stand like a statue to put her tracker on.  She was one of my original 4 that I've had since they were 9 weeks old, one I sold off at a young age because he wasn't doing like I wanted, which left me with little LB the runt pup, and Brie and Bleu the black dogs.  They just had me training them, no grown dog to help show them the ropes.  I tried to get other dogs incorporated into my pack, but none ever had the caliber of these so they never stayed.  I miss this little girl, she was 30-35 pounds of pure hunt and heart.  Her and Brie made a heck of a find and bay team til Bleu could get there and seal the deal.  Lots of wonderful memories of her, she is and will continue to be missed horribly.  I had about 5 years with her, sure wish I could have had a few more.  I still pour feed up for her, then remember...  These are a few pictures of her from various stages of life, sadly I don't have a whole bunch more.  I miss you baby girl.......

Dang it... I'm sure sorry to hear that. It's hard to loose one that you raise from a pup and put all the time into.

Hate to hear that, lost one that I had raised about 4 years ago, went to go load her up to go hunting and found her dead in the pen from a complete freak accident, really hit me in my feels because she was about 7 or 8 and was the very first cross I ever made, raised, and hunted...

Thanks y'all, ya Goose it was just one of those things. I took the collars off the other 2, just in case. It's still weird not hearing her bark at feeding time.  I was going to cross her with Bleu next time she was in heat, it'd been something I had been thinking about doing just never did....
