Took my male pick of litter to see a pig again. Sad thing is I'm showing him more favoritism out of the 5 ... But hard not to when it's your pick and he's doing the best of 5. I'm enjoying this pup. Next time there will be no fence and a bigger pen.

Thanks y'all. That kid does mean business. That's my Evelynn June. She's my shadow and plum full of it. She's always doing one of three things, threatening to whip my hind, helping with the dogs or walking around quoting Arnold Schwarzenegger films lol. She's 5yrs old, and the last of my 3 laborers.

My middle one

And my oldest

Little update on Django. The litter just made 1yr old. He's turning out to be the better of the 5 that I kept from this litter. He has a brother (Cheif) the same size as him that is about to give him a run for his money. The other small male takes a couple steps forward and one step back. As for his 2 sisters I have, one has progressed each time and shows promise. The other female, had a set back with a broken leg at a very young age (5mo). I was able to chicken wing it and she made a full recovery. Though she had the set back, started late, and is toward the bottom in performance... I am seeing noticeable improvements each time I work her.

Here is a pic of Django caught on a hog a couple weeks ago on a hunt.

Looking good! Are they rough at all or sit back and bay type dogs?

Djangos brother is also big... he turned to solid catch so I need to put him on a bigger pig. Django has been getting catchy and I have 3 others. One gets rough and the 2 females seem to be a close bay type of dog but not catchy. More time and tests will tell. I bred for loose but I started doubting having loose dogs. hopefully I end up with 2 different packs to run.

Thanks, they aren't as rough as I'd like, but tough for sure... well, my 6yr old is rough. She will whip the snot out of her older sister and brother lol
