Bored from lack of running due to brush goat season... and with a month long turnaround, I had to make good on some last minute promises.

Took my son on his first hunt in the big woods. Haven't been to this spot in a few years and pretty much all the game was gone. We stopped at 3 different spots and seen decent sign for stalking up a pig on the last spot, but Mother Nature sent a front that shook all the leaves off the trees, and the sun baked them into crispy cornflakes. We crunched for about 8 miles that day but I had to take pics of him exploring the woods I've hunted for the past 12 years off and on. Gotta love that Louisiana swamp and virgin cypress bottoms

Picked up my Christmas present to myself a week before Christmas

And took my 2 beautiful tomboys on a date

Great pics. & those kids will remember those memories all their lives. My kids are always telling me something about some of our hunts that I have forgotten.   Good looking dog too.

Great pics, great looking kids and Christmas present.
You better take them and enjoy that virgin timber while you can long as you can, there shrinking by the minute.
