Those of you that use it to kill tapeworms, what's your dose. Got in a big discussion at the Co op this morning with some Plott men over effectiveness and dosage. At the sign of Tapes, I've always gave pups a click(eraser size) and a growd dog 2 clicks. Within 3 days, worms gone. Been doing this for going on 20+ years and have never not had it work or kill a dog.  Your thoughts

I’ve always used Equimax instead for tapes. It has twice the amount of praziquantel in it to kill tapes... dosed it about the size of a peanut m&m.

Or you can order praziquantel capsules from internet under fish meds...while there order amoxicillin capsules 250 mg...

Discussion was about the amount of praziquantel needed to kill the different strains of tapes. They were arguing that zemectrin gold would not kill canine tapes in the dosage I was using. I agreed that a higher percentage of praziquantel would require less of a dose and be more effective with real bad cases, but as I stated, I have never had the zemectrin gold not handle my tapeworm problems in 20+ years of use.
