Anyone know who hunts and breeds those old Tyme big boned, big square headed, rough catchy type Catahoulas? Seems like you don’t see em anymore.

Back in the early days, pre registration most the catahoulas I saw were medium size slender built dogs. It wasnt until the late 80's thru the ninties that I started seeing these big blocky headed stocky built dogs. Looked like some bulldog was added in the mix. jmo

That’s bout the time I got my first one from a rodeo in wills point from a guy named James he was just few yrs older then me I was buddy’s with his younger brother Paul Saxon

They all over south florida I don't own any but I know some fellas who hunt groves down there and they use them shorter range rough ones with pumpkin heads.
