Well I kind of shocked the dogs when I pulled up in the dog yard with the boat. Got them loaded and met Larry Smith, Scott Ladner and my neighbor s boy Michael. Took a hour or so but the dogs found one and after a short race bayed him 20 yards off the bank. Sent my yellow gyp from the boat and we had #1, a nice boar. Went down a aways and got a strike and the dogs ran a small hog for awhile and he beat us across the bayou into big country and we pulled the dogs.
Went down and got another strike and cast the dogs and they soon jumped. Ran this hog a couple of hours and bayed. Walked about 300 yards and caught another nice boar. To far to drag him to the boat so we cut him back loose.
We cast the dogs again and got on a runner and the dogs ran out of gas about 3:00. For soft dogs they did pretty good.

Man I bet it felt good to finally get out.  Good runs to be the first one out the gate.  Congrats.

Sounds like they did real good Cajun. Glad you got out and I sure like to see a dog get that ear deep in their jaw like that.

I know the feeling of shocking the dogs,it's almost annoying when the side by side starts. Good times.
