Well Kaleb and Deputy Dawg picked me up this morning for a 30 minute hunt. We cast dogs and they went like 470 yards and put up bayed. We drove around and parked 140 from them. Walked in and he was bayed in real open woods. There was a downed tree with a little scrub brush grown up around it. Sent deputy dawgs green catch dog to him and he had his hands full. He kept slinging dogs and then he broke. His brakes work because they got mashed and he stopped. It was his mistake to leave what little cover he had. I had to dig his butt out from under him. It was some really good watching. I thought he was a barr at first but he was a boar. 325# on the scales and those scales were pretty full lol. He was a one eyed old pirate with real heavy 2” cutters maybe a little more. I’m pretty sure he has been traveling to the corn crops to eat every night.

Battle hardened warrior is right. I want to see the man that put all those scars on that dude. I’m sure it’s more than one hog that did it but it’s still gonna take a good one to do it all. That’s the second time we’ve ever hunted this place and the third stud we found in the same set of woods. I’m starting to think it might just be an ole boars nest.

This kinda gives another vantage point of his size.

Thanks guys.

Make-‘em-squeal, I’ve seen those ham markings on lots of hogs that were made post catch, but I assure you these weren’t. I got to watch these be made in flight lol. I love watching that kind of stuff.
