Another Sexsquatch sighting

Well my buddies Eddie and the Sexsquatch made it in. We hunted 3 days and had a real good time. There wasn’t a trophy caught or big numbers put up, but all these ole soft dogs, theirs and mine, did pretty good. The first day we hit a little spot that we haven’t hit in a long time. It’s real hit or miss and this time we hit. We cast Eddie’s two young gyps they got bayed in pretty short order. We caught a shoat and were able to expose The Squatch’s pup. The bulk of the hogs we saw left those woods and headed for country that we didn’t want to get into so we loaded up and went to another spot. Cast those two gyps again and they went, bayed, and had another shoat caught. The hogs came boiling out and I couldn’t get my catch dog to go to them. He really tested me that day. He wanted to go when he wasn’t supposed to and stay back when he wasn’t supposed to. His Pepper gyp started baying but his other gyp wasn’t really honoring and she was right there. Eddie eased in to see what was going on and a big ole sow was tucked up against a big log. When she jumped up the other gyp went to baying and Eddie came stumbling backwards lol. She was close enough that she almost gave him some sugar. I sent my catch dog and sealed the deal. We got her loaded and called it a hunt. My dogs were a little mad because I didn’t turn them out.

The next day we took my dogs to the high fence to look for ole big boy. We hunted for about 3 hours and never did get him. Not a track or sign anywhere in there. My dogs bayed one time but we never got to them and they never bayed again. It makes me wonder if they didn’t run up on one of those yotes in there. We had a heck of a good time visiting with my buddies that took us in there and then went and one of them bought us BBQ for lunch in Thorndale. It was real good eatin!

The third day, Deputy Dawg and his little boy Cannon, went with us. We cast his dogs, Eddie’s two, and two of the Squatch’s pups. They went and got bayed and it was fast and furious for a little bit. We ended up catching two good sows and a good boar along with a bunch of pigs before having to call it a hunt because we couldn’t keep air in the buggy tire.

It was a great time every trip. Cannon had a heck of a time too and he’s got calling the dogs down. I guess he’s gonna be a Police Man too the way he was eating those donuts.
