We got a chance to take one of the two pups out this morning with two older dogs.   They jumped pretty quick and she couldn’t shake em. Got the pup in on the ordeal and he enjoyed the game.  We were happy to finally get the pup on something he could handle this morning.  The other little gyp pup ain’t quite ready but I figure she will flip the switch within a couple more weeks.   It amazes me sometimes at how each young dog has its own time frame of learning and readiness.

Dogs look nice and man what a pretty set of woods! It’s good to see you have the sense to pay attention to the mental maturity of your young dogs. Man I see so many people that think just because a pup can physically keep up that they are mentally ready as well and that just isn’t always the case. Kudos to you for being a good handler.

That was a good one to get the pup on. Hopefully the other one will be right behind him.

She’ll bay a pig already. Ain’t scared of a bigger one but wants to run around scouting things out instead of that look in her eye of hate for em yet. lol.

Losing the dogs that you have lately isn't as painful when the next gen starts coming into their own. Good hunt.
