Myself haakdt and Justin turned loose this morning on a feeder lease president said was covered in hogs(it wasn’t) dogs casted few hundred yards not acting real interested in anything so we loaded them up and drove around to the other gate towards my stand, 100 yards in the gate we saw a decent track on the rd and cast kidd(5)Jr(3) Merle cj (both2) and Lorrie (15/16 months) dogs got out about 500 and hit a creek and Lorrie got hung up other dogs crossed got out to .6 and came back down to 700 or so and cj and Merle sat down bayed looked at the garmin kidd and jr are bayed 40-50 yards past them so we drove around sent dro and the buckskin cd to the young ones first (Lorrie got there in the meantime) soon as we got that hog caught I grabbed the young dogs and sent them to the other bay(we’re working on rolling over with them two their the roughest dogs and like to catch together) anyway I got them to the other bay and watched a good hog run by that was laid up in the woods close to the bays Haak slipped in with the buckskin cd from the other side and he tied her while Justin was tying the other sow I snatched up the cur dogs and cut them on the track of the big hog and they all lit out the rest of the day running hogs, broke a axle on my sxs so we ended up calling them all out but overall great dog work!

Yessir me and these two ol boys have been hunting together since we were jay birds
Everything in the woods except that brindle dog is related one way or another, all the credit should go to YBM he did the hard work for years before I got to be apart of them 17/18 years ago and when these two got in a bind on dogs, passed out some young dogs and they sure enough put the time and work into them to make some fine dogs! Really been able to depend on their dogs to get the job done and start my young dogs behind theirs while my best dog is bred and focus on building numbers back up after getting thin the past couple years

Yessir for sure! A lot easier feeding 15-20 rather than 40 head of dogs too and trying to hunt them all

Highwater you are sure right. They’ll pour honey in your ear just to get you to make a maintenance hunt. It isn’t their time or their dogs so they don’t mind you wasting your time as long as they don’t have hogs around. I guess we just have to be thankful that they want us there at all.
