Matt and I went back to the hell hole this evening. We were going to take the land developers out, but after 7 inches of rain today they decided it was too wet. Shocked

The dogs struck this fat, young barr hog right at dark. Luckily we were able to drive the mule about 100 yards from him to get him out.

Mike,

Did you take your little catch dog Cheyenne on that hunt?

Y'all are on a roll.

There is a little bit of this story that Mike is leaving out, like how it was sooo thick that it took us nearly an hour to walk the 300 yards back to the mule in the dark and then how we drove around and found a rode that took us to within 200ft of the hog  Grin.  Lotta walking and cussing vines but in the end it was worth it.  My first ever barr hog, here are a few pics that I took as proof of being a barr and also the cave he was bayed in.  A root ball of blown down tree had grown over with plants but was hollowed out on the inside and kinda made a earth hut for the hog to hide in, the opening was about the size of a beach ball but I think several hogs his size could have fit inside of it, pretty interesting.

On a roll, theres that serious look on Mikes face again, just to let everyone know I offered Mike five bucks to smile in the picture on our last hunt and he held it together til the picture was taken then he started laughing.
