I have a 1/2 pit 1/2cat and he is 7.5 weeks old. They was weined at 4 weeks,WAY to early. I got two pups and one is just not growing good. Today went out to feed them and the small one had one eye matted shut and the other one almost shut. I put antibiotic drops in his eye and gave him some Peniclin. The problem is the peniclan went under the skin and not IM. Will it still help because he is so sick and dehiderated he has no muscle to give it in.

I use Crosby Vet Clinic and they told me that penicillan under the skin is okay but the dose is one cc per 20lbs twice a day.

He probaly weights 3lb and I gave him 1/2cc yesterday and been putting Neomycin drops in his eyes. He passed some worms today. Its been two weeks since his last worming so I wormed him again. Today he is doing 100% better. He is on the fast track to recovery.
