Get the kevlar, haven't anything penetrate it and know people who has used them for years without any cuts through the material.

Uglydog should be able to tell you more about them.

If we can stay on schedule our store will be open in about 4 weeks (give or take a few).....We will carry a handful of different designs made by different people.  We already have 2 new seamsters on-contract that are sewing exclusively for us and we will be bringing back the 3 layer kevlar vest that Douglas Mason and Krystal Rohan have been using for 6 years solid with not one cut-thru.  Once the store is open you will be able to bring your dog inside and try on anything you'd like to make sure the fit is right or we can measure your dog and we will tailor make him a vest at no extra charge.  I an VERY BIG on quality and durability.  There are many vest being made today that I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole because they are just throwing some nylon together as fast as they can to try and get a high profit margin.....Most of these are junk and you'd be better off getting your grandmother to knit your dog a sweater when it comes to protection.  We stand by our products and have dog safety combined with functionality at the top of our list.  We also believe in a high level of customer service to make sure you get exactly what you need.

I don't usualy speak out about the dog supplies because I have always felt that the proof is in the pudding and the vests and collars speak for themselves, there are enough out there that have been through the ringer for many years now that stood the test of time. Now that being said, I don't sell vests or collars anymore, I have turned it all over to Cody (blackgold) because the "business part" has exceeded my personal capabilities, and he is taking the Dog Supply business to a whole other level that I had dreamed of but did not have the time to do and hunt, In my book, hunting is the top priority, selling stuff a close second. However that has made it possible for the consumer to get more choices, faster & better service, which I am proud for Cody to do a better job than I have done. I am happy that the dog owners are getting there stuff faster, and have a chance to own the stuff that is going to take care of your dog. I am still putting this stuff to a test and Cody is constantly getting feedback and opinions from folks that are using this stuff hard, so he can assure to keep the quality at it's highest. If I don't like a new product and think it's junk I tell him. He cares enough about doing the best he can, that he listens and we are putting these products to the test where it counts in the woods - on a regular basis, now Thomas and I getting back to basics and less time on the internet, we  are pushing these dogs harder. It's a win-win situation. Customers get better service from Cody who is much better business person, and I am able to hunt more often and getting my family & dogs in the woods more often.

In the beggining I started selling dog supplies to help friends and fellow hunters get dogs supplies that were quality protection, did not rub the dog, or cause resistance. Now Folks,  I have bought alot of dog supplies for my own personal dogs trying different makes and models. We did not just say "hay I think I will try to get rich" . I only sold bits and peices here and there for the first year or so, but I learned alot, learned what works and what don't and trying to fnd one product that worked on all breeds and types of builds of dogs was the hardest part, the second hardest part was find a manufacture (seamstress) that was not so full of themselves that would makes changes to patterns that were tested in the feild, alot believe they have the "perfect pattern" however most of them only used dogs in a bay pen, and occasional hobby hunters, not where it really counts IN THE WOODS, and thats what has brought the difference in the leading selling supplier of hog dog supplies, Ugly Dog Ranch Hog Dog Supplies to where it is now. Hog Dog Supplies made for HOG DOGS THAT HUNT, Sold by folks That understand & support HOG HUNTING with your dogs.

I have to go look at the website every couple of days, because Cody regularily has together something new & useful, like the electrolyte tablets that can be easily carried and administerd in the woods, might make the difference in a dogs life, It is simple, but I wished I would have thought of it myself. I already got them and putting to use. I also had to get the K-9 first aid pack that also goes on my belt, used that the other day too, Had one dog cut open backside of foot, got and artery and tendon, needed the bandage that was convenient (lightweight & compact) on my belt pack (first time had that kind of cut happen)
