I have never had a big problem with ticks until this year. What's the best way to kill them?

OFF will kill them fast... Bayer tree and shrub used to work on keeping them off my dogs, not no more?

Be careful with OFF! I have read about very bad side effects when using DEET on dogs. I wouldn't use off.  JMO

The best I have found is a collar called "Preventic".  It is good for 3 months and kills ticks within 24 hrs.  I have used it with good success on my bird dogs and Patterdales.  Here's a link for more info - http://www.lambertvetsupply.com/Preventic-Tick-Collar-for-Dogs--pr--021VRB01
