Conroe at night for practice on carp and small gar, and Trinity river during the day for the brute's gator gar!!! I used to go with my uncle and cousin mostly but the last time I went was with my cousin before he passed, havnt been since....lil over a year!!!

Yeah if you ever go once then you will be hooked forever.  I haven't been doing it for long but I really like it. I have a grasp of how its done but need to go more to really learn all the tricks.  First I need a boat!  I rigged my lil flat bottom river boat with a deck but it was too much for the lil boat so I added two 20gal barrel pontoons. it worked but just was more of a joke than anything. If you ever get the chance to go again let me know. We'll get together and have a good ol time.

I've got a 14ft. flatbottom with a deck on the front, that goes back past the middle seat, but my outboard went blah, just got a trollin motor right now, but with the right place it works fine, long as you don't gotta go to far... Cheesy

But its fun especially when you find em', I've found a honey hole that can be fished from the bank, thats fun but crazy. You ever been drug off the deck, I did in Harmon's creek one time that was a ride, and worst of all it ended up bein a big ol' needle nose... Angry

Bowfishing and hunting is what I do best. I do my bowfishing on the Brazos River From Whitney to Waco and hunt around those areas too.  I just wish they would have left it legal to bowfish catfish instead of doing a one year trial run of it. Angry Angry Angry   It's hard to pass up those nice big ole cats to shoot at a carp or drum. Grin Grin Evil
