I get back in the office in the morning I'll dig through a stack of surveillance camera dealers. I have 3 or 4 companies that send me different stuff for our campuses.

www.securitymagazine.com has a lot of good information. and Security Cameras Direct is the supplier we use. www.scdlink.comIndoor, outdoor, and IR LED cameras. You can even set it up to plug into the TV and just switch to a certain channel to see what the camera sees, during comercials.

I just got an outdoor camera system off ebay - it included a DVR system, 8 cameras, wiring, etc - all outdoor cameras and was around $700, it works great and you can set it to only record at motion. If you don't need that many cameras, I'm sure a good outdoor 2 camera or 3 camera would only be a few hundred with DVR that records or for you to watch live.
If you go to ebay and type in security cameras, there is a 4 camera system for $299 - combine that with a $60 monitor from office depot and you've got a great color system that you can watch, records for you, and works great. That worked for us, and considering it was color it was even better. The guys ebay name was cctvdeals.
Hope this helps.

Not sure what kind of system exactly you need but alot of people have the ones that are hooked up to their computers. I am not a computer guy but I believe they stream them thru their own web pages. You can then check the cameras off you iphone or what ever. Several people in my family have them.
I had an uncle with a landscape contractor at his house. We were fishing and he was watching the guy in his back yard the whole time. The guy actually was about to put a tree or bush in the wrong place and he called him and made him move it.
Some people are putting them at their ranches also so they can watch their cattle. Pretty crazy.

Get you a wireless cam for the computer. They are pretty cheap compared to what else is out there. You can watch live or record the video for future use. I use them for security with inferred censors.
