went on a hunt last night with friends kevin an joey the dogs were hunting out  making loops checking in going back out just was no sign  but the dogs we hunt they hunt an if a hog is around they will find it  we kept riding around they tookoff an we heard them bayed it had to be a big one because they would of had it caught they were 800 yrds away we rode around to get close we got to the bay was watching the dogs put on a hell of abay when joeys young yellowblackmouth got to close the hog broke an came right at joeys dog cutting him bad in the side the big boar saw us an here he came with no place to go lucky the dogs turned him an he bayed back up we didnt have kevins bulldog with us so i call my bother to go get her while we was waiting the hog cut kevins young yellow dog pretty bad when the bulldog got there we went in kevin turn the bulldog lose an before she got there the hog saw us an broke to late to get her back so we went back to the fourwheelers so we could get close again we went in to the bay they had the big boar caught  the bulldog was caught hard me an kevin grabed the hog  as we did we watch the bulldog slide off the hogs ear an as we were holding the hog she passed away she did her job she was a real true caught dog in all four dogs were cut up good an one good dog dead it w

we almost lost our main catchdog almost get murdered in a vest   try 2 vested catchdogs  thats wut we do now  we never run a solo cachdog vested or not  we have minimized alot of damage that way

Sorry ya'll lost your dog, sounds like she held on until she had nothing else in her. I have never lost a dog to hogs but it's a matter of time I am sure, I think my next catch dog vest will have the chin gaurd on the collar, sorry again about you dog

Sorry to hear that, was it heat stroke or bleed out? not like it matters just curious..glad you caught the hog.

Sorry about your dog.  I'm with Coyote Hunter - I started running two vested catchdogs this year and will never go back to just one.  Makes it much easier on the dogs.

she bleed out she was cut up all in the head under the jaw  it didnt go throw the vest  her jaw was also broke ihave down loaded pics on photobucket still cant get them on here cant figure it out

We normally cut and turn them back loose but this one did to much damage so im going to skull mount him the two shoulder mounts i have on my wall both killed  some of my good dogs so i figured i would mount this one to
