ok bought a 2000 model 500 artic cat 4 wheeler from a guy now i put a new battery everything works but after you drive it awhile it won't crank but the battery isn't dead any suggestion would be helpful

That sounds pretty normal for a Arctic Cat!!  Is the engine turning over or is it not doing anything? Does it have a pull start? |

t.wilbanks i know but couldn't pass it up practically free so its one of those deals and if i put it on a charger for a bit cranks right up tested the battery shows to be good it might crank up 5 or 6 times before it doesn't crank again and the starter just kinda clicks so would it be the starter and no pull start

i would have the starter and the coil checked out. Sometimes you can tap the starter with a hammer and get it going.

If it starts fine cold, and clicks, or nothing at all when hot, sure sounds like the starter is bad.

what does the volt meter say while it is running and unhooked from the charger?

thanks guys not much on 4 wheelers but the starter was my guess and didn't get a volt readin when it was runnin
