How many barr hogs have yall caught this year?? I have caught 2 this year and I have only caught three since I have been hunting.

caught 14 since jan. 4th.... but cut alot more boars than that this year.... you gotta cut the boars to catch the barrs  |

Kyle we only take one out a year and he has to be big..... the only one that we personally kept was a 353 this year. we gave several others to people... but if we know someone else wants one we will take em out and give it to em. but other than that we just turn em loose.

Same here, was just wondering if i was the only one who cut a good barr hog loose, good to see that there is other people out there working hogs.

we caght 2 of ours in one day one was 252 and the other was 273 that was one of the best day hunts so far this year

kyle i just went back and checked and we cut 35 boar hogs this year. so that means that that is 35 more barrs we will have a chance to catch next year. not to mention all the hogs that other people cut that hunt all around us. theres lots of people around here that work hogs and that have been doing it for a long long time.

Clint i like the way you think i wish more people around my lease thought the way me and you do, i look at it as hog management i get more joy out of working hogs than i do killing them...as long as theres hogs around then i get to enjoy the sport of hog hunting.

We've probably caught about 15-20 since january, mostly small. Kept 4 or 5 bigger ones for sausage. We didn't have any mast this winter & hogs didn't get very fat.
