Got to looking at my coon dog last night and noticed that she was starting to make a bag, problem is she's NOT suposed to be bred Shocked. caught her in plenty of time and put her in pen with male pup, only 6-7 months old, and now she looks to be with pups Angry. she is 1/2 leopard cur,  1/2 plott,  the pup is 1/2 plott 1/2 catahoula, so i guess the pups will be 1/2 plott 1/4 catahoula 1/4 leopard cur.
has anyone else ever had this happen? didnt think the pup was old enough to breed, and never noticed him even smelling around.
Oh well, last time that happened "accidental breeding" ended up with some dang good hog dogs. but have plenty of pups already so they probably wont get a chance here, unless my wife falls in love with one, you know how that goes

5 1/2 months old is the average for a male dog to be sexually mature enough to sire a litter.

Keep your fingers crossed for a false pregnancy.  May sound far fetched but it happens.

Good deal,...well maybe you're just lucky that way. lol My daughter had a dog years ago that would have a false pregnancy every heat cycle after she got older....every time she would get milk and bag down but no pups. we kept her in a pen during heat cycles so she was never bred.
