I know alot of people use bayer tree and shrub on there dogs but i was looking at wal mart the other day and saw bayer insect killer. It actually says it kills fleas and ticks on the label. but what i was wondering is does anyone use the bayer insect killer on their dogs? would it cause any problems to the dog? if u have used it or know something about it plz reply thanks

I have no experience using that stuff but judging by the label on it, They both have the same ingredient but the Tree and Shrub has a stronger dose of it and the insect killer has the other chemical in it that I couldn't find much information on.

I would NOT use that product on animals. The tree and shrub can be used on edible fruits is why it is better. Id stick to what you know works because who knows what the other ingredients contain.

I have used it once, i sprayed all the areas around my dogs, and went ahead and hit them alittle with it.
It didnt seem to cause any problems, just alot of dead bugs!!
Just like the tree and shrub, somebody had to take a chance in trying it out to know if it works.

I use the insect killer version and i cant find a flea on my dogs........they seem to be ok, hopefully it dont hurt them...
