the group of hunters I hunt with seem to like the tejas vest.  But personally It dont matter if your dog has used it and put it to use enough then u should know if u have a good vest.

Here is the 3 Layer Kevlar that UglyDog Ranch carries (once again) in action, the vest overlaps the cut collar and does not the motion/agility of the of the dog. The picture above is a vest I have owned for close to seven years, used on 3 generations of dogs and not one puncture through the vest to date. As you can see the this hog was sporting some 3" IVORY and knew how to use it. With 3 layers he could not touch the dog, and the vest design did not put the dog into a jam even when being whipped around and NO this vest has never rubbed any of the dogs that wore it.
Heres that scrappy little boar that was swinging that dog around, not so bad all tied up!

Here is a frontal view of another one of my friends dog wearing one, as you can see this vest has been worn, and worked over, not one cut has penetrated all three layers of Kevlar.
Here is a side view of the same exact vest on another dog (Bandit son of Captain Morgan)

On another note, some of you may recognize the dog wearing the Blue vest ? That is ol "Useless" JD's yellow dog foundation, Useless was rough as they come, He was a strike dog, this dogs wearing that same design of vest running on the ground the whole hunt, every hunt, so NO is does not rub or chaffe  the dog if the design is made by dog people.
. The vest only comes in orange now days and is known as the devastator, the color changed from yello wsince their is another manufacture now trying to sell yellow vests, this way there won't be any confusion, uglydog ranch is the ONLY place you can get this pattern/material of vest

Recognize anybody else in that picture?Huh?Huh? any East Texas Hog Doggers?

Now that's an old picture! Grin

I see Blue on top and my old Rebel dog on bottom... gotta be about six years ago.

Ol' Useless was a helluva dog... bark three times and catch.

i like using the valley creek vest mostly cause its closes to me and i like dealing with them they are good people, the black vest they sale never had a problem with it until one of straps snapped one night on a  hog but that was no big deal, the camo vest sale now those are some good vest we got on a  rough hog one night its got 100s of cuts all over it from that night but none of them ever went through that vest saved my dogs life that night.

yeah im gonna be getting a new one in the next couple weeks when i pick up some extra money (guess i could set on a street corner with a sign that says "need money for hog hunting supplies") lol
the one i have now is just poorly made it doesnt fit him right because his neck and shoulders are the biggest part of his body (i have to  use the biggest collars any site ive seen has)  and he gets really lean around his stomach area. and he does EAT a lot, lol. just nothing but muscle on his upper body and back legs now, and this vest is getting worse and worse fitting wise.
