I loaded smiley, bull and two eight month old pups cricket and Sioux and met Lawrence and Keith around dark to make a little round. He brought kc frank and Tex and we hit the woods. Not long into it we cross a creek and come out in the pasture to see hogs and dogs dashing and darting everywhere. Cricket was on the ground and Sioux was in the box so I immediately dropped her about the time I heard a squeal and we cut bull to that hog to seal it up. I could hear smiley Tex and maybe cricket bayed so I started to them and could hear it was a better hog so I waited on the bulldog and then proceeded. Keith and Lawrence got that one legged and it was a good sow. Two hogs in a few minutes and one pup that was in a bay for a good while. Neither of these pups have ever bayed a hog in a pen or else where so for eight months I couldn't be mad. We hunted a little longer but it was hot so we called it.  Good times!

I wish mine last night would have been that quick!  Good Job, and I hope to see some pics of the pups.

These are the two pups that I hauled with me, Cricket on the left and Sioux on the right.  Cricket came from Micheal Woodall and is a 1/2 BMC 1/4 Parker 1/4 Cat and Sioux is from Craig Loftin out of his JR dog and I can't remeber her mommas name.  Both did good but Cricket is more mature and business like for her age.  There were more hogs than what we caught and both pups trailed out about 3-400 yards after the bay with the older dogs, I think I was more happy about that than anything.  I may not even carry em again for a while but I sure was happy to have them on a hog the first time I took them hunting, sets a good impression in their mind I think.
