Went to a corn field where its been getting hit hard by hogs and of course us lol, unloaded dogs around 8:30 pm caught 5. The dogs I had were
Strike dogs: Rhode,Copper,Brad, Sadie, and soon to be strike dogs R.J. and Gaucho, Pups that I have raised
Cds: Tex,Smiley,Tuff, and Moochie.

Dad, Grandpa, and Shelby were on the hunt with me.

5 min. after we dropped dogs we had our first bay, dogs and hogs were everywhere so I kicked out Moochie to help. He ran in and caught the first sow, Smiley joined in on the catch and it was all over. I stuck the hog while Shelby took pics. No sooner after we stuck the hog I had Rhode,Sadie,Brad and the pups bayed. We eased over towards them and saw the prettiest image a hunter could ask for, hog standing there confused as hell and dogs spinning him everytime he tried to break, pups were baying tight and eventually got a little rough and caught so I sent Smiley and Mooch to anchor this bad boy or should I say girl. Second sow caught and tied went #230 on scale. Dad and Grandpa went ahead of us to see if they could get one with just cds, how lucky could they get. A boar ran out in front of them, Dad sent Tuff and Tex to get 'em. They caught good and hard, Dad stuck the pig just as we were getting there. Dogs rolled out hard, 30 seconds we had another one bayed, Mooch and Smiley caught. It was a little one but any hog counts in the farmers mind. We decided to head home so Grandpa wouldn't get in late when the dogs lit out again. Smiley and Mooch slammed the hog quick and Grandpa went in for his first time sticking a hog, he did excellent for a 72 year old man. Loaded the hogs and dogs, got home just before mama's cooking got cold  Grin

First hog, #152

Second hog, #230

Third hog, #171

Didn't get any sinlge pics. of the little guy, just group pics  Sad

Fifth hog, #145 Grandpa's hog

Group pics.

Great hunt that field was loaded.  Good pics.  But you need to start leaving some for the rest of us.  Great job.  Glad grandpa got to stick one what a thrill.

It looked dirty! Nice hunt with the family...looks like a good time. You know the farmer appreciates a haul like that.

It still had hogs when we left there, dogs were tired so we had to call it. Haha I try to leave some but my BMC Rhode doesn't want to, he's pretty selfish lol!!!
