dog aggression

Have a dog that has some dog agression issues.  Not rhe greatest dog in the world but will jump over the moon to please people.  I cut him a couple months ago and it seemed to work wonders untill sat night.  These dogs had road in the box just fine togather for about an hour and 5 mins out of the box two get into it can't gurentee this dog am discussing started it but was winning it.  I am on the fence on rather to keep him or cull him for it.

i think if ya have a smart dog they will try to correct the stupid ones sometimes. all my dogs have always pooped off the concrete in the grass. The newest addition liked to poop on the concrete i would beat her A$$ and rub her nose in it and she never seemed to get it finally one day i was yelling at her while she started to bow up on the concrete when my old gyp went over and tore her a new one...  now I dont think she poops at all you never see her anyway. Maybe she diggs a hole like a cat now I am glad she was dog aggresive

buy a muzzle and a cattle prod...if he only jumps on them in the box, if iin the field then cull

And guess my question would u cull on this first agression issue when he don't bow up to nothing no more on chain after being denutted.and don't know if he started it

It may not be dog agression (DA), it could be dominace. Does the dog only jump on dogs of the same gender or both genders? Does the dog try and pin the other down or does he try to kill it? Lots of times when you get the dogs out enough they'll learn what they are out there for and stop doing that stuff on hunts. Around the house you may have to keep them seprate tho. What breed of dog is it?

He is half bmc quarter pit quarter plot/cur/aridale.  Neather parent ever showed agression or dominance and someone on here has the dam side angel bought from a kid from stephenville.  Anyways this last time it was just growling nipping not really out to kill just I guess bullying and it is always same gender.

Good point, especially in the box b/c they cant get away from the dominant gesture therfore fight occurs. electricity timed right will fix alot of problems, especially a cattle prod. I put a muzzle on my fussy one and it took a few months but helped alot, he is only agressive in a dog box/truck though.

nutting him should do the trick! if u dont know if he started it i wouldnt make any rash decisions, and now that you nutted him other males may think hes fair game and you cant blame him for defending himself.

if he is a good dog, id keep working with him for awile, but if the aggression continues, yeah cull him, its not worth dealing with unless its just an outstanding dog that is irreplaceable.

be careful not to let him get the other dog or dogs defensive or aggressive while tryin to break him    id cull him   but i hate dog aggressiveness with a passion    i have 1 dog that i would put up with that from but thank goodness hes friendly to everything but hogs

It is hard to say what to do with him, I personally think when you break them up before fighting instead of letting them do it and then getting onto them (electro-therapy is my choice) you run the risk of upping the more dominant one's ego...

We have a yellow dog named Charlie, he is some what handicap but he is a hog finding and catching machine.  If I put him in the yard with the two red males they will stretch him out in a hear beat if my husband isnt here or if I am not outside with them while he is gone...they have done this all on several occassions, now if you put them in the yard while my husband is here Charlie walks around with his nub sticking up and hackles raised trying to instigate it but nothing ever happens other than a little growling; you can also stuff all of them in the dog box together and ride 3 hours and the most you will ever hear is a little growling...but it is short lived.

The same goes for our CD, I put him in the pasture tonight (husband was gone) and walked over to my moms.  Well I hear our hound baying like crazy so I walk outside and see our little female at the gate.  All the puppies are going crazy and NO Psycho, well the close I get I realize they have him down.  7 puppies and 3 grown dogs have this 110lb mastiff x stretched out....I go to discipline tthem (I have to be very careful of my actions because the neighbors  are nosey) and they scatter like roaches - needless to say I have a 110 lb dog sleeping in my laundry room because they put a whipping on the poor old one lunged man but again, you can stuff them all in the dog box and ride for hours or even pen them together and they are well behaved but you let my husband leave and me go inside without seperating them into certain groups and they are going to cause trouble...

I would say you are just going to have to figure out whether he is worth keeping and work around his nonsense until you can get him broke of it or semi-broke of it....none of ours are leaving because they are worth too much to us plus they are little saints until I am here by myself, then the heathens seem to come out to play
