There is a spray that works real good but the whole batch was bad. So there isn't any this year. I forget what it is called but you just spray it on a wall and flies land on it and die! The traps from tractor supply worked ok for me this year but they stink!

Don't laugh at those bags of water! seriously I have had plain baggies and water work wonders inm some places but not in my kennels!
Raw apple cider vinegar in the dogs water will severly cut back your fly problen, but you also gotta keep the kennels clean

fly predators from spalding labs work well. But, it's best to start releasing them prior to getting overwhelmed. They still work, it just takes a little longer to get the flies under control if you don't. http://www.spalding-labs.com/

Also Google "fly wasps" they lay their eggs with the fly eggs for food! They do not sting people. But they will take care of a problem within a couple fly lifespans. No joke. I have used the bags traps but I have stayed up on them and keep everything clean.

those are all good solutions but if you really want to eliminate mosquitoes, flys, roaches, fleas, ticks .... shoot me a PM with your number. i sell and maintain automated misting systems for homes, barns, and kennels. we mostly do homes but i could make you a pretty good deal on a kennel system

there is a granulate called quik bayt and all you do is sprinkle some (where the dogs cant get to it) on a piece of wet cardboard or something like it and they go to it and seconds later they are on their backs six feet under....you can probably get it at your local feed store

Fill a gallon zip-lock bag with water and put a penny in it, seal it up and hang a few around your kennel,....don't laugh, it works!

Best stuff I have ever used. Do you want to deter them with bags of water, or do you want to kill them? The flies have been worse this year than I can remember in a long time. Mandi took this photo after setting out a Quickstrike in the barn early this year. The Quickstrike had only been out for one day, and it killed a pile of flies. Quickstrike runs about $20.00 for two strips and the last quite a while. We have used Quickbait in the past, and it worked well too.
