I would consider him a trophy if I could snag him with my bow but really to me he is a cull buck with interesting horns.  I have had my cameras out all summer and on Oct first I got my first picture of a deer with horns and between the first and today I have had three different bucks hit the same feeder.  Funny how that cool weather and the ladies can get them up and moving around.  I really don't plan on shooting anything unless it is huge but I will likely try to take some pictures of him out of the stand.....

Yeah, he needs to be rolled.  That would be a cool skull mount though.  If you get him, or a picture of him from the front please share.  Thanks

Is this from your creek bottom Matt?

Yeah, he looks to be a older deer to me and a shooter in my book. I have seen much better deer practically in your front yard.

The crappy thing is I don't think he is wide enough to shoot  :'(.  One other thing I have noticed that all these deer just showed up this week so I am hoping the older bucks will show up a little later.  There are four different bucks that I have counted and all of them seem to have bigger bodies than I am used to.  I really don't think this deer is over 2.5, but I also think he should have more points even for a 2.5 year old deer.  If he gets real brave he may get the hammer but likely I will give him a haul pass to see what he is like next year.  I had a picture of a young 8 last year, I am waiting to see him this year as a 2.5 to 3 year old he should be pretty nice.
