Took a mate out to get some game of the winged variety on one of my usual haunts. Thought a few dogs should come in case. We had Opal, Ness (Opals duaghter) & Toby a mates Cat he got of my earlier in the year. He also brought BLUE his CatxDane who is just starting to lug on his own. We also had a young bloke come for a ride with his dane/arab/cat x cattle dog pup
The Toby & blue found the first boar squeezed(sleeping) in a root system of a pandanus tree hanging out of the creek bank. A few barks & Blue went in & it was all over pretty quick. With the others making there usual noise!
We kept following the mainly dry creek & Opal starting getting out 600-700 with real zigzags in her path. I said to the boys once she straightened her path up that were on in a sec.....
She found this nice boar camped in the sand of the creek bed. She went & bailed him face to face. Well she paid & the boar ran straight threw her flicking up onto the bank (about 1.5m up) & he fled following the gutter. With in about 250m she & Ness her daughter had caught him back up! With blue still sizing up alot of pigs before going in he was doing this again. He hit & got thrown out, then went back in...Then a couple of the Cats (Toby & Opal) went in to help hold.
Bailed just before they go in
