Some veteran Hog Doggers on here told me to do some staged hunts, and its been pretty fun and educational for the pups. This is the staged hunt from today. I was really impressed with the 2 month old gyp. I just tied the pig up and drug it through the woods about 100 yards, then let the hounds go.

bay pen and staged hunts are good. Just don't over do it or the pups will burn out. Every now and then and take the pups out while they are still wanting to bay.

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
