I've seen and heard of people using everyday breed dogs, to hunt hogs, other than curs and hounds.  My question is - has anyone every heard of using a blue heeler.  Though they are a herding dog - I've seen a few get rough with a cow, and was just curious if they could bay a hog - and keep it bayed.  Possibly trail a hog?

really any dog could be a bay dog. Heck my dashunds will bay a hog. I think it could bay but with that coat on him he would get tired quick, dont think he would be able to trail one i mean it takes a nose and i dont think the shepherds got one.
For me a great three dog team is
A hound
A cur
A catch dog (dogo, pit, bully, other mollasers)
But as a bay any dog could (as long as its not a english bulldog or something) and for tralining doubt it
