well my sue dog had her pups friday the 19th of nov she had amess of pups 14in all. she was looking really pour within a couple days so i have been loading her up with canned food and she looks alot better now. i helped her out a little and she only has to feed 9 now.. my guestion is i noticed today sue was sitting upright and it looked like she was still having contractions and when she got up and walked off there was a spot about as big as a quarter that was bloddy mucas looking nasty stuff. i got to looking around and found several other spots. i have seen this before with others but never saw them contracting a week after giving birth. i felt around and i cant feel anything abnormal and she is feeling very very good for some reason she keeps going to the hog pen and baying her a$$ off i have had to go get her out of the pen twice this week, she has never jumped into the hog pen before now. she has always bayed great if let in the pen and would call out but now i have to go in and pick her up and tote her to the kennel. if i set her down before i get her to the kennel she is right back at the hog pen. i guess having a litter made her flip a switch ![Huh?](http://www.easttexashogdoggers.com/forum/Smileys/default/huh.gif) she is 3 years old and this was the first time i bred her... so anyway sorry to go on and on but ole sue has me scratchin my head with this contraction thang and the bleeding along with some hog lust. ![Huh?](http://www.easttexashogdoggers.com/forum/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

If the pig pen is too close to the pups she might feel that the pigs are a threat to the pups and she is defending her space/pups.

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...

I had a bitch that had 11 pups in the spring and she did exactly what you are saying your dog is doing, having contractions and bleeding after the pups were born. She bled for at least 3 weeks and turned out fine.

the hog pen is through the woods about two hundred yards away. i think she is sick of hanging around the house and wants to go hunt. as soon as the pups are weened i have three huge barrs that need caught and the pups should be weened by the end of deer season.... ![](http://www.easttexashogdoggers.com/forum/Smileys/default/police.gif) hopefully the contractions and bleeding are nothing. ![Undecided](http://www.easttexashogdoggers.com/forum/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)
