Has anyone had torn ligaments re-attached on their dogs? If so, how did it turn out? I just picked up my Tweety dog yesterday after an 8 day stay at the vet. Her collateral ligaments were torn on her front right ankle, plus there was some infection in the joint. Doc Merry cleaned out all the infection and re-attached the ligaments. She'll be in a cast for 6 to 8 weeks, going in every 2 weeks to have it checked... says she'll be good as new.

As hard as she hunted with the torn ligaments, I can't imagine her at 100%

Last April my main dog has his achilles tendon cut in half. He had it reattached and stayed at the vet for several days. I kept him off of it until late August and he hasn't missed a beat. The only time i can noticeably tell is on days when we've hunted several, several hours. He will give to it some, but not bad enough that i worry about it.
