I have about a 3 year old Plott Hound that i picked up for hog hunting that is way too open for my taste as i run silent bmc dogs.  He trashes every now and then on rabbits and such, and i was wondering on what the odds are on introducing him at his age to coons,  since he is so open and at his age is it possible on just making him a coon dog.  Hope this isn't a stupid question at all but was just curious.

Thanks for the answers of it not being a waste of time lol sorry mr tnhillbilly but i love the hell out of the dog and hate to see him go anywhere but if i can't get him to turn on to coon hunting then i may just have to give you a call and see if you can make him one with your pack.  I'd rather him be hunting than sitting in a kennel while i grab the other dogs and have to see the look on his face as to why he can't go hog hunting with the pack anymore.  Around here in SE texas if the hogs hear a dog bark then good luck finding them lol.
