John met me and Hunter up in Madisonville this morning for a quick hunt. I brought two of my pups today, Duke and Chloe, along with my Hunter dog. My Parker pup got put out of commission for a week or two on the boar we caught yesterday. John also brought one of the littermates to my two, Pepper, along with Lucy and Little Joe. The pups did ok today... a little too much puppy at first till they got settled in. We finally struck a hog and had a solid bay. All the pups went to it as we headed that way. The hog broke before the bulldogs hit, my Duke pup got the horn, he went about 150 yards and they caught him.

Hunter and John...

Decent boar...

Thanks for the great hunt Mike. I had a really good time. It's good to see the new pups working already. I think Pepper is going to be a good dog. That was only her and  second time out in the woods. She seemed a lot more interested this time.        John Grin
