I wanted to congradulate Mike and Britt Garcia on catching the big hog of the contest. 305# she was a big one!! Good to see everyone

We had an awesome weekend. It was really a great time and good friends, and most importantly some amazing dog work. There were too many hogs to get a really good detailed story like normal.. plus my hands feel like I punched brick walls all weekend from dragging hogs out lol so my typing is slow and painful.

Everyone met at Matt's ranch Saturday; I'll try and go ahead and name everyone that had a hand in this weekends hunt, I sure apologize if I leave anyone out. THe days are kinda blurred together. Byron Lennox, JJ, Big E, Stick aka "buzzard Billy", Trevor, Jason Thompson, CLayton, Brandon, Shannon, LAne and all the little kids. It was a blast, you could start hunting at midnight but we only mess around during the daylight hours so we turned out at the A$$ crack of dawn. It was long before Bess had a big group bayed. Bess is JJ's yellow gyp. And i must say she is a really good hog dog; especially to be only 3... she's a badass! anyways when the dust settled 4 good hogs later and 4 hr's later we regrouped. we went 2 miles to the north and turned some puppy's to Bess who had been bayed for 3.5 hrs on silver boar hog weighing 205#
day 2 Bess, is tired lol

Turned the 2nd pack of dogs out Boogie and Blaster put on a show rolling on 5 hogs like the old days. Boogie was hands down the MVP of dogs for our hunt.  1st property down we had 9 hogs. weigh in was at 3 so we took our 5 biggest in with a day 1 weight of 887#

We actually hit another place right before dark and caught 4 reall quick, 2 of whcich fell into our stringer for day 2! good boar and sow arouund 200
This is what we had left in the trailer after Day 1's hunt to start day 2 with.

DAY 2 found us on OSR. Boogie found the first group of hogs. One big sow and pigs later we. Headed to a big block of woods. It was on pretty quick with a 6 month old puppy baying a BIG BOAR hog, he was 300+ but like they all do.. he dumped us on sows and actually a a good barr that ended up being our big hog for the weekend at 239#. 5 hogs later we were done by 11 am and enjoying watching the kids rope and play with the pigs.
our day 2 total was 993#
day 2 stringer

We luckily won first place with a 10 hog stringer 0f 1880#; it paid out $875! we caught 20 total hogs for the weekend. It was certainly a great time.Im worn out like none other and I do crossfit 4-5 days a week.. hope yall enjoy everything. didnt really get any pics til day 2 once we slowed down and had most our hogs caught. we were all really impressed with how well everyones pups did. there 4 dogs ove 3 years old and about 15 pups 2yrs-6 months that flat hunted their butts off. It was a fun thing to watch. Big E has 3 Girlfriend puppy's that are 6 month olds and are going to hell on the hogs for years to come. Thanks again guys!

See everyone in a few weeks at the RANDY BUMPER's tourney!!!

Lol it's been non stop ragging on him since; I was trying to be nice but here goes

So we head over to Trevor's house right before dark! 10 min later, Dogs are bayed and caught boar hog about 200! Well it's been a long day so we're taking pics. And it's actually the picture of Byron sitting on the hog is right before it happened. Trevor thought he would be cute and flip off the camera while leaning in... Well he got a little too close to mr. Bo hog and proceeded to chomp down on his outstretched middle digit!! caught trevor!!!! Well he starts punching him and the hand and cuts his other hand on his bottoms.. LOL it's hard not to laugh, 6 stitched later he's back to new. Hopefully a little bit smarter now!?! Smiley

Trevor never has been he one with a ton of sense, so, no, I doubt he learned a thing, except that stitches in the hand itch like h*ll the next day. I swear, he b*tched, moan, cried and complained about them all flipping day yesterday. I told him next time he oughta try kickin the pig, not beatin him, least that away he can still rope.
