Everyone, this needs to be filed by a Senator... TODAY!!!

OKAY find your Senators here - http://www.fyi.legis.state.tx.us/

We need everyone to contact their Senator, especially anyone that may have any of the following Senators.
Kel Seliger - Amarillo and panhandle area
Robert Duncan - Lubbock and South Plains
Robert Nichols - East Texas area
Brian Birdwell - Waco area
Birdwell is a freshman Senator and will not have the workload that the Senior Senators already have.  He is also a hunter.
They need to tell whoever answers the phone that they are a constituent and need to speak to someone about filing a bill.  Then when that person comes on to tell them that they are a constituent at the local level, with a local issue and that you have a bill that needs to be filed in the senate as a companion bill to Rep. White's HB 2833.  That their filing would help with your association and your people with working dogs. We are not worried about it passing right this moment We NEED IT FILED, and don't let them tell you any stories!
If one or more tellyou they will file it, let us know back and we can let the lobbyist contact them to know what has been done so far.

Lets hit this one as hard as we can folks, having this filed as a companion bill in the Senate will make things a lot easier.  It will be a HUGE step toward making this bill into law and gaining the protection that comes with it.

For what it is worth, I sent emails to Senator Nickols and his secretary Patsy Spaw. It is 07:00 pm here in Afghanistan. My ability to use my "Afghan wireless" cell phone ends at 05:00 pm for some, I guess security reason. Anyway I want to thank all you guys that have worked so hard on this. I hope we get somewhere with it.

Mr. Mason and Mr. Benson are presenting information on this bill to TOP's this morning. I am hoping they have a successful trip and can get some help from TOP's. Top's has got the clout to really help, if we are not to late.

TOP's is Texas Outdoor Partners, a lobbying group that TDHA is a member off. I am waiting on a report from Mr. Mason and will give a heads up when I here from him.

By getting this filed as a companion bill in the senate today will help tremendously with this bill's journey to law as Lance stated.  Those of you that are in the Waco area contact Senator Brian Birdwell...you are his constituents and the ones that elected him into the office he holds, so please make those calls!!

Just got off the phone with My senators office, IT took less than 5 minutes, they are very efficient, as they don't want to be on the phone for long either, they are polite too!

I am a constituant, and I want my Senator to file a companion bill to HB 2833! left my name and numver and asked them to call me back! tHey did say they are very busy but diod not say it could not happen!

Senator Hager is a Farmer so hopefully he will look at it!

Got a call back, Won't file it, already filed all is going to file, but will look at it when it comes over from the house.
