I have a yellow cur male I brought him as a strike dog and he has struck a few pigs on his own but I have a real good strike dog that works great. What I need is a catch dog that I can count on. Been getting a lot of text so let me clear a few things up...he's a little gritty (some scars to prove it), he will catch once another dog catches, he's been around deer and cattle and didn't chase either but he barks at the neighbors horse when it runs around. I getting rid of him because my female Cat came in heat and he started getting aggressive with my lead strike dog and has not stopped since. He has chased hogs for me about 1/2 mile out but hunts 100 to 200 yds out. No human aggression at all anybody can walk up and pet him and no dog aggression until my bitch came in heat.
I do want to see this dog catch and I'll bring you out to a small place (5 acs wooded) that has A LOT of hogs.
