Went fishing yesterday again, 10 hrs on the river. I would complain but there was a 92 yr. old fella out by himself doin it all. Beautiful day on the river and the fishin was good. We filled a 4x4 tote about 2/3 full. The ol fella broke down in the channel and we thought he was toast when a loaded freighter was bearing down on him. The ship evaded him but it was close. Saw a fella from the Most Dangerous Catch. Blake Painter was his name and he was doin pretty poorly between bad equipment and bad decisions. We ended up helpin the ol fella get his boat outta the water last night. He was so played out he was gonna nap awhile till he felt up to it but we got him ashore. I spent 6 hrs cleaning and filleting fish this morn. Got some in the brine and some in the freezer. This was supposed to be a coho fishery but there are still as many Kings as silvers. Weather was shirtsleeve all day which is pretty amazing in Washington this time of year.
