Good lookin Yeller. Like the head and body confirmation on him. Looks leggy and could cover some ground. Do you remember how he hunted?

Definantly has the look of a long winded Yeller.. Would be interesting what your grandpa has to say bout him and where he came from background wise.   Good Pic bud   Did you ever grow into that hat?  laugh

I got him from John Gay of New Boston Texas. John called him Smutty. Johns Doc dog was his daddy and his mother was a Benny Cowart gyp named Charlene. Doc was from Ben Jordan's Henry dog and John's Sugar Baby. Charlene was from Charles Long's Bubba dog and Long's Dolly. Bubba was from Ashcraft's Bigfoot and Ashcraft's Pearl. Dolly was from Long's Jack and Harrison's Kate. The Henry dog was from Ricky Driver's dogs . I'm not sure where the Driver dogs came from. C L if you're reading this feel free to correct me if I got any of this wrong. Most if not all of these dogs were cow dogs. But I'm sure many good hog dogs can be traced back to many of them. The Smutty dog made a good hog dog. He would go huntin when you turned him loose. And when he barked he was lookin at the hog. He wasn't yhe best in the world but he wasn't for sale. He was killed  when he was 4 years old. I'm still lookin for one like him.

Well brother I have been lookin for another like all the good ones I have had in the past and aint found one yet. LOL But they seem to all come into their own and I have to learn they are just like people different in every way. I truly do like his build. I am a sucker for them leggy stream lined Yeller dogs that can cover some ground. Seems like the good ones always end at an early age to boot. Thanks for the breakdown on him. Mighty fine lookin.
