I have only been out hunting a handful of times, but needless to say it was the most fun I have had out in the woods. Well today I acquired the first pup to get a pack of my own going. She is 1/2 BMC, 1/4 airedale, and 1/4 german shepherd. I have hunted behind the sire(airedale/gsd)every time I have been out and he is a sure enough dog. Rolls out good and if there is a hog there he will find it. Owner says he used to catch in his younger days, but now will just stop them and bay. Never hunted behind the dam, but have heard stories and she has the scars to show she can get on the hogs too.  Also have hunted with two older dogs from the same cross and they can get it done as well. She was offered to me free, but I brought along a bag of feed when I picked her up tonite. No name as of yet, my wife said she gets to pick the name. And I've also got dibs on a pup from a litter that just hit the ground that is 1/2 cat, 1/4 bmc, 1/4 red tick. Have hunted behind both of those dogs and they can get it done as well. Needless to say I cant wait till these pups grow up and I can get them out in the woods. Here are some pics of the pup I got tonight.

Nice pups. I'm new to this also. I have just acquired last week two plott hounds to go along with a full blood bmc. I also have a half ridgeback and cur. Hopefully this time next year we can be in the woods with our own dogs. Good luck.
