I wasn't trying to say that all brindle BMc dogs had plott in them, just that the ones i researched far enough back had plott or mountain cur, THE ONES I RESEARCHED, i also said some full blood BMC dogs do trow brindle that is just rare. sorry for the confusion. I like'em all even the ones with plott blood

i have a litter of all blackmouth brindles right now. the mom is brindle out of a old line of cow dogs from bo nutting bred back to another one of his yellow dogs and all came brindle. i have a daughter out of her which is brindle to and bred her to another one of his yellow dogs and they came half yellow and half brindle. he told me didnt mater what you breed her to they will come brindle but you can take those pups and breed back to yellow and you will get both colors and he was right

Kewlest litter I ever rasied was a cross from a RED blackmouth cur and a brindle yellow black mouth cur from east teckus, some of them came red brindle, some yellow,  all had black masks.  Lots of people tried to tell me they were Mountain s curs but they were not and I knew the difference.  I am still stunned to see so many brinldes still going strong, great posts and pictures all.  The litter i got all had full tails and were silent traillers.

Great looking dogs here. I like 'em.

I havent been to a baying in a year and a half, but the last couple of times I went to McCoy and Pearsall, there was a young fellow that had a little Brindle gyp and they were winning all the money.

I heard him turn down some seriously major bucks for her in Pearsall one night. A buddy of his told me she was pretty abused when he got her and it took a lot of lovin and carin to bring her out and that she was as good in the woods as she was in the pen.

I saw her get hooked and thrown one night and in mid air she had never taken her eyes off that hog and as soon as her feet hit the ground, she was back in his face  in full chop. It was awesome.

I know color dont hunt, but Like I said before if I have to feed em and look at em, I might as well feed and look at something I like.

I may have to look for a Brindle.

Well, I should have a litter on the ground in August. If all goes well, I'll post some pics and you can see if any of those will do. That is, if you want one that young or not.

Maybe that's why I like them ol plott hounds so much, I like all them good BMC dogs, be they Red yellow, pale almost white, brindle or saddle back even a black dog, full tail or bob tailed. so long as they work hard and throw hard working silent trailing bay dogs

Big Chris, right now I think I'd like to stay straight cur. I believe there may be a high end Plott in my future and I can always cross later.
