Got this email from my dad just south of mason
Going back on rainfall records that Mom and Dad started here in 1951, if I did not make a mistake, the present period of Oct. 1 to July 1 is the driest ever here. 1955-56 same months is just 0.3" behind, and that was after the year 1954 of having 7.4" rain here. I have had 5.35" since Oct. 1st. Probably not the driest ever, but plenty dang dry
