We got 1300 acres last week from a guy who says he stopped deer hunting the property because of the pigs. He said he never seen deer just pigs. We scouted a little on Mon. Decided to give it a go this morn. Got one quick and had pigs running by us goin to the caught pig. Two other dogs went for the group of pigs and the race was on 2+ miles later in a big cane thicket they catch another. The dogs strike out again another 1/2 mile and the fight is on in the briar patch. Only to break and run like a cat with his tail on fire. Never seen him again. Rounded up the mutts and head home.
Lots of sign and some big tracks the area is known for big hogs, there have been several dogs killed in the area over the years. If the size of the teeth match the size of the tracks Its gonna get ugly!
Dang I love to chase pigs!!
