Over the years I have raised Beagles, Labradors, Brittanys and now we have our first litter of BMCs and I am always making comparisons between breeds.

This is what both Karla and myself have noticed. Not long after their eyes opened, they were up and about. As soon as they got their legs under them pretty good, they started moving in a pack. At three weeks, they walked about with their heads up and just almost strut. Now at 4 1/2 weeks they pretty much rule the roost.

This bunch of pups ( and I have some Brittanys right now that are 1 day younger to watch at the same time ) just appears to be more advanced for their age than other breeds I have raised. More alert, better control of their legs when walking, and just a bunch of little things we have noticed.

Its not just me. Karla has been hand feeding one of the younger Brittanys and gets to watch and she see the same things I do. I dont know if it is just this bunch of pups or the breed as a whole, but differences are pretty obvious.

How early did both parents start working Bobby?  Was just wondering if they were both early maturing.
