went out with Hogbit , Nick and Craige & Chet Croff .. Craige and Chet are some good ole boys from Fl. that come every summer to catch with us .. we put in at 12:30am and got on Hogs right away .. Lil Buddy was cold trackin open and pulling dogs to him .. after almost gettin run over by the Shoalt they was running we had to regroup.. picked up dogs and moved north of were we was about 3 miles . at this time it was about 3:00am , i left Buddy tied in boat so he didn't mess us up again .. walked in about 800yds. and Hogbit's Striker dog found this boar bedded down , dogs stopped him at 70yds. , had the CD's running loose to our sides when they struck , so the hog was caught as the dogs stopped it .. Chet legged him as we got the dogs relaying and CD's tied back .. tied up hog and dogs showed a few hundred yards out so we headed that way .. after a shaort walk we headed back to hog and cut him and turned him back .. called it a day at 9:00am .. was cool lastnight 78 degrees at the trucks when we left .. great hunt and lots and lots of Chit talking !! Nick , Craige , Chet and some lost soul we found in the woods !  the dogs was whipped for the ride back..  |
