I've only been out a few times in this heat, had my 2nd best dog die so that left me 1 good solid dog and she's going on 7 so I've noticed it's been hard on her especially. I've had more dry run than ever and also had more trouble shutting them down and getting more than 1 out of a group. So needless to say I can't wait for cooler weather and rain.

T-bob just make your way up here and spend the weekend.  I hunt allot, and I'll tell you i hate summer.  Take a #250 boar and turn him loose today in 100 degree crap and let 4 dogs run him.  He will probably go a mile and may or may not loose my dogs.  Turn him loose in Dec and he would have never moved from striking location.  DOn't get me wrong though, I'm very fortunate to have allot of good places to go at anytime and close enough to me to keep a close eye on them almost daily.  I almost have as good as handle on my hogs travel as a high fence ranch.

This east texas under brush is what kills me, the dogs can't hardly get thru it and the hogs can shoot thru it like it's nothing.  It's been a good summer for me, can't really compare it to the last few because i have been hunting allot more this summer because of some places i have to keep under control.   Very dry and hard to pickup anything though i can tell for sure.  Hit the water.  That's my "Hunting Tip Of The Week".    Grin
