We picked up an American bull dog the other day he looks to be a couple years old, real good looking sucker but he has no intrest in a hog what so ever. He has even watched another dog catch and didnt even bark. Anybody ever have one like this and got them catching? I just hate to get rid of this dude without trying everything, so im hoping to pick up some pointers from yall

You can't make a dog hunt. Either they want to or they don't. May make a good pet for someone. I load up dogs that want to load up. I will turn them out. But if they don't hunt I don't upset at the dog. Two years and has no interest at all sounds like a pet.

If your desperate let the hog at him and see if it makes him mad enough to go. May still not have any heat though. Really sounds like a pet.

I've never tried this but I read it on here and seems like it would work... Get a hog and let the hog and your BD skip a couple of meals. Put them both in a pen with a bowl of food. If either one is hungry enough they'll fight for the food. That may be just enough to get the dog catching.. If your dog doesn't put up a fight then you may want to make room on the couch for him Cheesy
